Another day, another domestic violence claim.
Wake Forest Center Tony Woods has been suspending indefinitely while trying to sort out a criminal accusation of domestic violence against him.
Woods and the mother of his one year child has an incident over labor day weekend here are the details:
Coach Jeff Bzdelik revealed the decision yesterday but otherwise declined to comment on the Labor Day incident during which Woods is alleged to have kicked and pushed down Courtney Lorel Barbour, the mother of their 1-year-old child with whom he lives.
Woods, 20, was charged with three misdemeanors — assault inflicting serious injury, assault on a female and assault inflicting injury in the presence of a child. Police said that Barbour sustained a lumbar spine fracture.
According to the arrest report, Woods was not under the influence of alcohol at the time.
Maybe a “lumbar spine fracture” isn’t as bad as it sounds, but it sounds pretty bad. Even worse is that the incident happened in front of their child.
Once again I can not stress enough that no matter how upset you may get as a man that is no excuse to put your hands on a woman unless your life is in danger.
No woman is worth losing your freedom for and that is no way to set an example for your child.
