You hate to tell athletes just to stay in the house. It is their right as Americans if they want to go out and have a good time just like anyone else.
What they need to know though is at any sign of trouble they need to bounce.
If I was an athlete or anyone famous I would have this Jay Z line bouncing in my head all the time.
Look, if I shoot you, I’m brainless
But if you shoot me, then you’re famous
The basic meaning is when you have more to lose than the other person you need to walk away. Redskins Kick Returner Brandon Bank is latest athlete to get caught up in something that could have been avoidable.
One man is critical and another stable after an argument turned into a slashing at D.C. club “the Park.”
One of the injured is Redskins’ punt returner Brandon Banks, who is in stable condition with superficial knife wounds, according to a source close to the team.
Police said an argument occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday at the club, located at 920 14th Street in the Northwest. After the fight escalated, a suspect, who is now in custody, attacked both Banks and his companion with a knife. On Saturday afternoon that man remained in critical condition.
As soon as the fight broke out, Banks should have “broke out”.
There is a big difference between being a tough guy and being dead. When you combine a lot of testosterone and alcohol these type of things happen. Banks is lucky, next time he might not be. You have to use your brain it is a tool.
We hope that that Banks and the other victim is ok and the person doing the stabbing is arrested immediately.
Everyone just has to be a little smarter.
