It isn’t clear if the bullying was because the kids knew he is one of Sandusky’s victims or just general bullying, whatever the case maybe it is a sad situation.
Bullying has been going on in schools forever, throw in social media cyber bullying and it is truly become a crisis in our society.
The good news is that people are aware of it and are trying to do what they can to curtail it, but it is run away train now and I don’t know if it can ever be stopped completely.

Victim One, the first known alleged victim of abuse by former Penn State coach Jerry Sandusky, had to leave his school in the middle of his senior year because of bullying, his counselor said Sunday … The name-calling and verbal threats were just too much, he said.
You have to hope that the victim is getting the proper counseling and support.
He is still relatively young and it is obvious this situation is having a profound effect on him in a bad way. Hopefully he gets his school situation straighten out because no one should be forced to leave school because of this type of harassment and abuse.
