If you asking yourself……
WHO??
Here is your answer.
The Charlotte Bobcats have hired Mike Dunlap to become their next head coach, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Dunlap, who was an assistant coach at St. John’s University, accepted the job on Monday evening. Prior to working at St. John’s, Dunlap spent two seasons as an assistant coach for the Denver Nuggets under George Karl. The Nuggets compiled a 95-69 (.579) record during his tenure and made two playoff appearances, including a 50-win season for the 2007-08 Denver squad, a first for the organization in 23 seasons. He was a respected assistant coach, who has drawn rave reviews from Karl in recent years.
On Monday afternoon, the Bobcats informed finalists Nate McMillan, Brian Shaw and Quin Snyder that they were no longer being considered for the position. Dunlap was a dark horse to get the job given his lack of NBA experience.
