Confession, I despise being called Bob. My dad is Bob, I never liked it. My mom side of my family calls me Bobby and they are the only ones allowed to do that.
I prefer to be called Robert, the homies call me Rob.
I don’t think you can revoke a person’s nickname, but that is what Giants Osi Umenyiora is trying to do to Robert Griffin III.
“Who is this RG3 guy you guys keep talking about?’’ Umenyiora said. “You talking about Bob Griffin? You guys are giving him a cool nickname already and everything. When he does anything in the NFL we’re gonna call him RG3. Right now he’s Bob Griffin.’
Considering he was RG3 well before he came into the NFL, I am not sure what Osi is talking about, but funny quote nevertheless.
If RG3 (Osi doesn’t control what I call him) lives up to potential the NFC East will be a very fun division to watch.
