I am not jealous of Lolo Jones, I think she is extremely annoying and when she gets in a pinch she throws her alleged virginity and Jesus in people’s face to cover up the fact she is loving all the attention that is being thrusted upon her.
A wise man once told me…..
“Don’t ask for more food if you aren’t ready to eat.”
The point being if you can’t handle the portions, step away from the table. Lolo asked for the biggest steak, but cries when because she can’t finish her plate.
You should never have to apologize for being popular and taking advantage of the opportunities that are presented to you. Life isn’t fair and that is going to make people salty.
People are going to dislike and be jealous of Lolo for various reasons. It could be her looks, performance or the attention she gets. The reason is irrelevant because no one can be universally love. Some of the critiques are warranted and others are pure hate, but there is a reason when they put a spotlight on you, it is hot. If you can’t take the heat…….you know the rest.
For every two people that love you, one is going to hate you. It doesn’t matter if you are a hurdler, blogger or manager at Wal-Mart. Lolo Jones is 30 years old, I don’t believe she is this naive.
We live in an age of Tebowism.
But, unlike Tebow who handles the gift and the curse of his popularity with class, Lolo acts like a spoiled child and princess who is so fragile she has emotional breakdowns at the slightest comment.
Yep and now I'm spending it on depression pills RT @darrenrovell: My Take: Lolo earned every marketing dollar https://t.co/N38uuPht

Where is Justin Timberlake to sing Lolo “Cry Me a River”. What exactly does he have to be depressed about? I understand she is joking, but it is this type of continuous whining that more than anything, that is why some people don’t like her. You rarely hear a negative comment about Tim Tebow from his teammates, because he works hard and doesn’t separate himself from the team. His teammates understand that it isn’t Tebow’s fault he is getting all the attention he does.
You would never hear Tebow make a comment like this.
“I’m in a suite with seven girls and I guess we don’t have any sluts on the team,” she says. “I haven’t seen any hookups. I’m sure it’s going on though, but I haven’t heard any juicy details yet.”
She wishes the best for her American teammate Dawn Harper, who won silver in the 100-meter hurdles and later joined teammate Kellie Wells to speak with NBC about being “hurt” that Jones received all the hype of the Games coverage.
Said Jones: “I guess it’s kind of shocking because it’s such a huge honor to get a medal. I’m proud of them. People are jealous for every different reasons. If you want me to step back and look back at why they would be jealous of me, I could see, but I wish they would see that a lot of people do respect them. I wish that the gap is filled now, that they feel like they’ve gotten all the attention and all the things they want from that medal I really hope that they feel like they get.”
Jones said she will take a month off after the Olympics, and would still welcome an encounter with fellow virgin athlete Tim Tebow.
“You always think you’re the last virgin on earth,” she says. “I respect his journey, and any virgin I just love talking to them and sharing the journey and the frustration.”
The reason in my opinion Jones wants to meet with Tebow has nothing to do with virginity, but the media attention it would receive. There are other virgins in the world besides the more popular player in the NFL to talk to, but ESPN, TMZ, Mediatakeout and etc wouldn’t be around to cover her talking to James the virgin at the comic book store.
You can call my a cynic, but if you look through the tears and the beauty, what I see is a very calculating woman who knows exactly what she is doing.
When I look at it from that perspective, I applaud her hustler’s mentality. Life is short, get all you can while you can even if that means you have to tell a few lies here and there to make you story better.
I don’t begrudge her for it, because people will believe anything they hear and melt for any beautiful woman who is crying. She is manipulating not only the media, but you the fan and in the end that is worth way more than any Gold Medal.
