As it seems that backup Tim Tebow will be out of town soon, and the team is looking to trade former starter Mark Sanchez, it appears the Jets will have a vacancy at their quarterback position.
And if head coach Rex Ryan has it his way, he knows who he wants to fill the spot next season.
Per New York Daily News, Ryan would love to have Eagles quarterback Michael Vick come to the Big Apple.
“Bring it on,” one source said about signing Vick if he becomes available. “He was hit too many times (behind a subpar offensive line) the last two years.”
The source added Ryan has “always had an affinity” with the quarterback.
Vick needs a new start, and Rex needs a new quarterback. Makes sense to me.
We’ll see if it actually happens though.
