Knicks coach Mike Woodson is standing by his team through thick and thin–eyebrows or no eyebrows. Woodson has faith that his team can beat the almighty Miami Heat.
As reported by FanNation Woodson is saying all the things that a head coach should, even in spite of the Knicks’ putrid performance of late coming out of the All Star Break, and the unremarkable pickup of Kenyon Martin. Woodson went on to say
“We had early success against Miami,”
“That’s all well and good. But when you get in a seven-game series, that’s different. Anything can happen. Injuries can occur, guys can lose confidence. But if we’re healthy, yes, we have an opportunity to beat Miami or anybody in the East.”
Maybe it’s just lip service, but then again maybe Woodson sees a true spark in his team despite their age and mounting injuries. When both teams are 100% health wise and given a best of 7 series to go to war do the Knicks have just as good a chance to advance?
