First, let’s go over the charges.
Spievey, 24, was charged with third-degree assault, risk of injury to a child and disorderly conduct for the incident that happened shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday on Dove Lane, police said.
His girlfriend, 26-year-old Lisamarie Santos, was also charged with risk of injury and disorderly conduct for her alleged involvement in the domestic dispute.
I am sure this is a dispute that goes on in quite a few households of young parents. Santos and Spievey have a 2-year-old daughter and they got into a fight over money.
Santos claims that, Spievey got so upset, that he started to choke her, while telling their daughter “don’t be like your mom”. Santos claim when she asked Spievey for money, his response was to take him to court.
Spievey says that he already gives Santos child support, but doesn’t feel the need to pay for her to go shopping and take care of her student loans.
He clams she attacked him with a “flurry of punches” and he was just defending himself. The sad thing was their daughter was in the room the whole time.
Both Spievey and Santos have court dates and have been barred from seeing each other. Be very careful who you have a child with, doesn’t matter if you are male or female, that is a lifetime contract you are entering into.
