Carmelo has some words for fans and media, who are trying to see THE RETURN of Derrick Rose sooner or later.
“I wish y’all would stop rushing Derrick back,” “Please. He shouldn’t come back until he’s about 110 percent ready. If he can’t compete at a high level, then what’s a couple more months going to do? What’s two more months going to do? I don’t think he should come back, and that’s just my opinion.
“And nobody really knows on the outside what he’s really going through, what his body is going through. So until he’s 100 percent right, I would hope he would sit out.”
It is probably to Carmelo’s benefit, that a 90% Rose isn’t on the court, because that increases the chances of the Knicks, if they were to run into the Bulls in the playoffs.
I don’t think anyone is rushing Rose back, I think part of the problem, is the way Derrick Rose answers the questions about his return. It is like trying to figure out a jigsaw puzzle. He never gives a direct answer and a lot of times, he contradicts himself. If he would just make a decision one way or another, I think people would move on.
Melo should just focus on the Knicks getting out of the 1st round of the playoffs and let Derrick Rose worry when God says it is ok for him to return.
