This news doesn’t really surprise me, seeing as Metta World Peace sometimes comes off as some sort of cyborg.
According to a story via SB Nation, the Los Angles Lakers forward plans to return to action on Tuesday after having surgery on his knee just under two weeks ago.
Just 12 days after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, World Peace says he will play against the New Orleans Hornets on Tuesday night as the Lakers make their playoff push, Arash Markazi of ESPN Los Angeles reports.
Considering that the team said World Peace would likely miss the remainder of the season when the surgery was announced, the news is surprising. “I’ve never seen a player come back near this quickly from such a surgery, but MWP isn’t normal,” Mike Trudell of Lakers.com said.
I hope World Peace is making his way back because he really has recovered and not because of some sort of misguided loyalty to the organization.
