Yesterday we reported that Houston Rockets first-round draftee Royce White, was trolling Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant via Twitter on Wednesday night following their loss to the team he has yet to play for this season.
Well per the Houston Chronicle, when told of White’s cyber taunts towards him, Durant asked a legitimate question.
“Who is that?” Durant said.
When told that White is the Rockets rookie first-round pick from Iowa State, Durant seemed to remember.
“I haven’t seen him on the bench,” Durant said. “He hasn’t played against us so I’m not worried about guys that’s not even in our series. Ain’t that the guy that can’t, that’s afraid to fly? I wish him the best. If I see him next year, I’ll let him know who we are.”
Durant wasn’t done there either, saying that White’s words doesn’t move him in any way.
“I don’t get fired up off stuff,” Durant said. “I get fired up just playing this game, enjoying the game. Like I said, I wish him the best. I wish he could have played and really felt this intensity for a playoff game, but I guess watching on TV is better.”
White isn’t doing himself any favors right now, from the time he’s been drafted he’s being saying and doing the wrong things in perpetual motion and making himself out to be a total headcase. I don’t see how someone in his position could justify publicly taunting Durant, he constantly sets himself up to be ridiculed.
