Michael Vick fired the first salvo last week when he admitted his frustration with the Eagles quarterback depth chart, and simply asked head coach Chip Kelly to name a quarterback before camp starts.
It seems that his teammates are now starting to voice that same sentiment. DeSean Jackson appeared on NFL AM yesterday, and according to the Star Ledger, stated that the Eagles as a team wants to know who the quarterback will be also.
“The team wants to know too,” Jackson said Tuesday on NFL Total Access. “We need to go into training camp prepared and know who is going to be our starting quarterback.”
Kelly has reiterated over and over that his team has no set depth chart. It seems that Eagles players a whole don’t like that rule when it comes to the quarterback.
They simply all want to know who it will be.
Jackson for his part says the quarterback competition has been even.
“It has been kind of even,” Jackson said. “[Michael] Vick and [Nick] Foles have been switching off [with] first team [and] second team. I think they would both do a great job and we will be ready for the season.”
