Chicago Bears wide receiver Devin Hester has gone back and forth in regards to whether or not he wants to finish his career in the Windy City.
CSN Chicago is reporting that the choice may no longer be up to Hester, and the Bears may choose to trade or release Hester if he can’t impress in camp, and win the kick return job outright.
Hester is competing with Earl Bennett for his duties, and CSN is reporting that head coach Marc Trestman is emphasizing the “competition” part.
The 31-year-old Hester and his $1.85 million salary could be on the move if he doesn’t display dominance in the kick return game.
That might be the only way Hester sees the field as a Bear again.
