According to PackersNews.com, the Green Bay Packers will work out Vince Young as a potential candidate for the backup role to Aaron Rodgers on Monday.
The 30-year-old quarterback was spotted at Austin-Straubel airport and is scheduled to work out for the Packers on Monday, according to the source.
Considering their backup options right now are Graham Harrell and B.J. Coleman, it would be wise for Packers to explore their options. It’s ironic that Vince is back in the news since his epic victory over USC in the 2006 Rose Bowl was just on ESPNU.
I always thought Vince got a raw deal when he was basically banished from the league so hopefully he can make the most of the opportunity.
