In my opinion, Roger Goodell seemed a little overly supportive of Jim Irsay given the fact that he was found in POSSESSION of prescription medication that was not prescribed to him, and over $29,000 dollars in cash, while under the influence, when telling reporters that “there have been no formal charges”. Of course formal charges haven’t been brought up yet, Irsay can undoubtedly afford the process to drag it’s feet.
But Washington Redskins safety, Ryan Clark, offered up a very interesting perspective on ESPN’s First Take this morning, about how Goodell has handled the situation thus far. Among the many great points he makes; he compares Irsay’s incident to if it happened to a player.
Hypocrisy indeed.
