So much for questioning Jadeveon Clowney’s toughness?
According to John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, Clowney told Gil Brandt that he played through a sports hernia at South Carolina last season.
I just spoke with Gil Brandt at rookie symposium. Clowney told him today he played with sports hernia last season at South Carolina.

McClain also reports that Clowney’s agent Bus Cook said it was severe enough that Clowney considered sitting out his pro day.
The report could explain some of Clowney’s disappointing 2013 performance at South Carolina.
