The Cleveland Cavaliers selected Kansas freshman Andrew Wiggins with the first pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
Wiggins is a great fit for a young Cavs squad in need of athleticism. First and foremost, Wiggins will be able to get out on defense and guard multiple positions. This is absolutely crucial for a young team who can have mental lapses on defense.
Offensively, Wiggins now becomes Kyrie Irving’s favorite running mate on the fast break. Look for Wiggins to finish at the rim often on dishes from Irving until he can develop more of a jumper.
This is a great pick for the Cavs.
