According to Marc Stein of ESPN, Nowitzki declined max offers from both the Lakers and Rockets to re-sign with the Mavericks on a 3-year, $25 million deal.

Nowitzki also took less money than he could have in his previous contract, signing a four-year deal worth $80 million when he was eligible to receive $96 million.
