Idris Elba confirmed what many Avengers fans had hoped and prayed for in an interview with the Telegraph. Elba confirmed Loki will indeed have an expanded role in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron film along with his character, Heimdall, guardian of Asgard.
Elba had been in Ibiza with his family finishing his album Mi Mandala inspired by research done for his role as Nelson Mandala, when he went back to London to film scenes for Age of Ultron. In the interview Elba dropped this bombshell:
” I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth [who plays Thor] and Tom Hiddleston [Loki], and they’re like, [whispers] – ‘Aren’t you [meant to be] in Ibiza?’ ”
By now, fans know that Loki plays a critical role in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War and the third installment of Thor ‘Ragnarok’.
