We never know what the mental aspect is like for a fighter coming off of two consecutive losses and a major injury but physically it’s safe to say that the Spider is back to form.
Anderson can be seen in this clip sparring with a training partner in preparation for his UFC 183 fight against Nick Diaz and the poor guy gets caught with a knee that his head gear couldn’t even protect.
Silva’s trainer made it clear that Anderson didn’t intend to harm his training partner but that his skills have progressed so much that he couldn’t help it.
“He wasn’t knocked out at all,” Guimaraes said. “(Silva) was just hitting him. He’s getting ready for his fight.”
“Anderson wouldn’t ever do that, especially to a guy he cares so much about,” Jorge Guimaraes today told MMAjunkie.
UFC fans can’t wait to see if Anderson can do this against Nick Diaz later this month.
