It seems like the inmate-guard relationships on ‘Orange is The New Black’ is becoming real life more and more these days. Recently, over 50 guards have been terminated from their jobs as prison officers over inappropriate relationships with the inmates.
Dailymail.co.uk reports:
“Official figures show that since 2010 a total of 52 prison staff have been dismissed for becoming involved in inappropriate relationships.”
A prison guard by the name of Julie Torton had her recent run in with the law after she was caught having an inappropriate relationship with an inmate. She was having a sexual relationship with a heroin dealer and went as far as to smuggle drugs inside chocolate eggs for him and other inmates.
She was even caught sending nudes to him from her iPhone after he was transferred to another prison. I wonder if she thought that 2 year 8 month sentence she received was worth it. Talk about a down chick!
