A lot changes when your dream job opens up out of the blue. Gary Kubiak has the chance to go back to where it all started, and coach Peyton Manning in the process.
The Denver Post is reporting that Kubiak is the leading candidate to land the Broncos job.
It must be getting around that Gary Kubiak is far and away the leading candidate to become the Broncos’ head coach. On Thursday night, Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Teryl Austin decided against meeting with the Broncos in an interview that was scheduled for Friday.
And now the Broncos have been notified that former Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone had cancelled his interview that had been scheduled for Saturday, according to an NFL source.
The Broncos instead brought in Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive backs coach Vance Joseph for an interview Friday. Kubiak will interview on Sunday.
The NFL world seems to expect that Kubiak, 53, will become the man to replace John Fox as the next Broncos head coach early next week.
