Damian Lillard told reporters recently that he has completed all the necessary coursework to graduate from college this spring, fulfilling a longtime promise to his mother.
The Blazers third-year point guard was six credit shy of a degree in technical sales from Weber State when he was drafted, but he promised his mother he would complete his studies, and found the time to finish during the offseason, according to the Weber State Signpost.
“I had to take some tests and test out of some classes. I was kind of nervous because I hadn’t been in school for so long,” Lillard said, adding that he “knocked all of it out and finally got done.”
Lillard is planning to get his degree on May 1,
