The Dead Man Rises Again
Bray Wyatt makes his way out with a bunch of extremely creepy zombie scarecrows following him. No seriously, zombie scarecrows.
Wyatt is stopping at each one and bringing them each to life (wink wink) as he makes his way to the ring. Into the ring and Wyatt is all business waiting on the entry of the Undertaker, screaming “WHERE ARE YOU?! COME AND GET ME!”
GONG!
GONG!
GONG!
Smoke covers the stage (as we see a video guy run out of the camera’s view) and… THE UNDERTAKER IS HERE!
Old or not, it’s still incredible to see the Undertaker make his way to the ring. And the fact that Taker looks like he’s in great shape makes this even better. Wyatt stands face to face with Taker and this is a pretty awesome moment. The future looking into the eyes of the past. Definitely a chill-inducing moment.
Wyatt tells Taker he owns this, all of this is his now and he rushes Taker just to eat a big boot and the Dead Man is in control delivering some huge strikes to Wyatt who just seems to be enjoying the beating.
Taker goes old-school, locking in Wyatt’s arm before climbing the top rope and hitting a clothesline onto Wyatt to a loud pop from the crowd. Taker hits the ropes and Wyatt comes back with a big clothesline and he has a twisted smile on his face.
Wyatt rushes Taker and clotheslines him out of the ring but Taker lands on his feet and drags Wyatt out of the ring. Taker lays Wyatt out on the apron and hits a running leg drop across Wyatt’s chest. The Dead Man looks like this is nothing personal, only business as he picks Wyatt apart.
Back in the ring, Taker picks up Wyatt and hits Snake Eyes into the corner before setting up for a big boot but Wyatt counters and takes the Undertaker down. Both men struggle to their feet and Wyatt is gaining confidence every time the Underatker is down. Wyatt begins to beat Taker down in the corner and now it’s Wyatt who is dominating.
Wyatt hits the corner and waits for the Undertaker to make a move. Taker crawls towards Wyatt who smashes Takers head into the steel ringpost while hurting himself launching over the steps.
Wyatt is clearly willing to hurt himself to win this match and Bray is hobbling all over the ring as his knee gives out he kicks Taker in the face and tries to grab the Dead Man before Taker locks in Hell’s Gate!
Wyatt is able to fight out of the hold and the official counts as both men struggle to get to their feet. Taker gets up first but Wyatt slams him to the mat and hits a running splash for the near-fall. Wyatt hits the corner and is starting to go to weird places as he leans backwards and stares Taker down.
Wyatt goes for Sister Abigail and holds Taker for a bit too long as the Dead Man reverses and hits a chokeslam on Wyatt!
Taker is on his feet now and calling for the Tombstone! Take picks Wyatt up and drops him in the middle of the ring! 1…2…WYATT KICKED OUT!
And the Undertaker can’t believe what just happened.
Taker kicks Wyatt as he struggles to his feet and calls for another Tombstone but this time Wyatt reverses and hits Sister Abigail! 1…2….AND NOW TAKER KICKS OUT!! WOW!
The ref begins a ten-count but Wyatt pops up and does his incredible creepy spider walk, but Taker won’t be outdone and he sits up like he’s done so many times before and Wyatt can’t believe it.
Both men struggle to their feet and it’s time to throwdown. Wyatt and Taker begin exchanging huge punches in the center of the ring and both men are barely holding their ground. Wyatt takes control and he begins to pound away on Taker. Wyatt mocks the Dead Man with the finger across the throat and he goes for another Sister Abigail but Taker reverses again and hits a Tombstone! 1…2….3!!!
TAKER IS BACK AND HE AIN’T GOING NOWHERE!
