Common has officially signed on to Suicide Squad in a role that is remaining shrouded in mystery. Common was set to play Green Lantern in a Justice League movie around 2007 before a WGA strike stopped that from happening. Common has stated that he wants to play the John Stewart version of Green Lantern, but is this going to be his opportunity? I have to assume that he won’t be playing Green Lantern, only because it would be weird to have Green Lantern of all characters make an appearance in this film. Common may be playing another unknown villain or hero. We will have to wait and see when more information is made available.
