Kevin Durant has been all about the Oklahoma City Thunder since he’s entered the league and has produced for them season after season when healthy. After winning the NBA MVP award last season, this one has been pretty bad for KD, as he only played in 29 games and has been plagued by a foot injury, Lil’ B and his curse.
All things aside, Kevin Durant wants to be a Thunder for life, or at least have his jersey retired there.
“I love it here, man. I love my teammates, I love the city, I don’t really think about anywhere else. I hear it all the time, don’t get me wrong, and once you hear it you’re kind of like [looks up, thinking]. But for me, I love staying in the moment, and I’m one of those guys that would love to stick it out with one team my whole career.
Kobe [Bryant], Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki type. That’s awesome. But you never know what the future holds sometimes and how teams may feel about you after a while, but I love it here and I would love to get my jersey retired here.”
As we know, money talks, and KD is set to be a free agent in 2016. While the Thunder have all the assets to offer him a contract, the free agent market may intrigue him as well.
