It appears that Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley’s facial fracture injury could be more serious than the team is trying to let on. Conley has already been ruled out of the game 5 showdown with the Portland Trail Blazers tonight. Conley suffered a fractuired face in Saturday’s game 3 action against the Blazers and subsequently missed game 4. The Grizzlies are now reporting that Nick Calathes will start game 5, which will keep Beno Udrih in his normal 6th man rotation.
Mike Conley is still out and Nick Calathes is listed as the starting point guard on Memphis’ game notes for tonight.
