Georgia Tech and Boston College to Open 2016 Season in Ireland

For the 9th time, a NCAA college football game will be played in Ireland. This time around, ACC foes Boston College and Georgia Tech will face off in the first game of the season in 2016 overseas.

The announcement was given by the Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny during a news conference in Dublin on Thursday. The game will be played on September 3, 2016, at Aviva Stadium that fits 51,700 people.

Last season, Penn State defeated UCF, 26-24 at Dublin’s Croke Park.
