The Celtics really wanted Justise Winslow once he started to fall in the draft. So they called up the Hornets and basically offered the kitchen sink for the 9th pick.
Depending on who you believe they offered at least one and maybe four future 1st round draft picks to move up to #9.

Some of the 1st round picks would have been unprotected meaning if the Celtics sucked, the Hornets would potentially have multiple lottery picks in the future.
So, what did Michael Jordan do? He drafted……
If Kaminsky turns out to be a bust, this will haunt Jordan and Hornets for a while. Also if Winslow becomes an All-Star (he was drafted a pick later by HEAT) it will be even worse.
