With training camp approaching quickly the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have announced that they will be using a new technology to aid players.
They purchased the Sidekiq football-simulator software developed by EON Sports VR on Monday to assist new Quarterback Jameis Winston off the field.
As described by ESPN.
The system uses computer-generated graphics to simulate game conditions and allows the user to custom-tailor a virtual game scenario from the same perspective they would see on the field during a game or practice session.
This will provide Jameis and other players a chance to take a physical break from the field, and limit many injuries.
The Cowboys have also been reported to have taken an interest in a virtual reality system that gives players a three-dimensional look at live action from practice
I’ve read before that many people learn better through games, so we’ll just have to wait and see after camp begins on August 1st.
