Owens Beats Cesaro in a Thriller
And now it’s time for the Mark Main Event. Cesaro and Owens both deserve massive pushes and this match is exactly where they can launch themselves into the spotlight.
Massive blows exchanged by the two and Cesaro tries to hit a Cesaro Swing by Owens sends him to the outside and then hits an awesome flip over the top rope onto Cesaro ringside!
Owens yells at Cole to pay attention but Cesaro catches him with a 360 over the top ropes!!!
It’s been 90 seconds and this match is already amazing!
Cesaro heads up top and hits a crossbody on Owens for the two-count. Cesaro again goes for a Swing but Owens fights it off, so Cesaro hits him with a double stomp to the chest.
Owens rolls out and starts to walk away, so Cesaro tries to catch him but ends up being thrown into the barricade. Owens follows it up with an awesome cannonball!
Back in the ring Owens begins to pick Cesaro apart. Owens hits Cesaro with a big clothesline then a running splash on Cesaro. And another on Cesaro’s back for a near-fall.
Owens locks in a chinlock as the crowd chants “FIGHT OWENS FIGHT!” but Cesaro makes a comeback and starts delivering big punches to Owens. KO fights it off and hits a spinning neckbreaker for the near-fall!
Owens follows it up by hitting a running flip legdrop to the back of Cesaro’s neck! WOW!
Another Owens chinlock and again Cesaro tries to fight his way out but Owens just slams him to the mat and yells at Cesaro to stay down. “OLE!” chants break out and Owens isn’t happy about the Sami Zayn reference.
Owens slaps Cesaro and that just pisses the Swiss Superman off and Cesaro starts unloading with slaps and then uppercuts on Owens into the corner. Cesaro hits a slam on Owens for the near-fall and both men are down now.
Owens knocks Cesaro down and climbs on top yelling at the crowd, and the momentary distraction allows Cesaro to hit him with an uppercut before hitting an unbelievable gutwrench suplex off the top rope for the near-fall!
Cesaro picks up Owens and goes for the Neutralizer but Owens stops it so Cesaro hits him with massive uppercuts and a knee before trying again, but Owens counters with a backdrop.
Cesaro tries to hit Owens but KO hits an incredible tornado DDT of the second rope for another near-fall!
Owens lays Cesaro down and heads up top, going for a springboard moonsault but Cesaro dodges it and hits a running uppercut to Owens. Cesaro sends him into the opposite corner but KO counters by nailing Cesaro with a superkick square on the jaw for the near-fall!
Owens tells Cole that this is for him and goes for a Pop-Up Power Bomb but Cesaro ducks it and hits a 360 uppercut off the ropes for yet another near-fall! This is awesome!
Owens rolls out of the ring so Cesaro hits him with a running uppercut into the barricade!
Back in the ring and Cesaro finally gets the Cesaro Swing locked in! 12 spins later, Cesaro locks in the sharpshooter in the center of the ring, paying homage to Tyson Kidd!
Owens thinks about tapping but somehow crawls to the rope and forces Cesaro to break the hold!
Cesaro sits Owens on the top turnbuckle but KO fights him off so Cesaro hits another uppercut. Cesaro goes for a superplex but Owens tries to counter. Instead Cesaro lands on his feet and hits a standing dropkick to Owens!
Cesaro again climbs up top but Owens counters by crotching Cesaro on the top rope and hitting an AMAZING suplex off the ropes!
Owens screams that it’s over before hitting Cesaro with a massive Pop-Up Power Bomb!
1-2-3 and Kevin Owens redeems himself! What a match! I’m all-in on this feud lasting a few more months.
