Becky Lynch Kicks the Divas Revolution Into High-Gear
This is a big match for WWE and their Divas Revolution. All nine women involved in this angle will be a part of this thing and elimination style means each should get a chance to shine. Also good work by WWE putting Nikki in a non-title match to basically guarantee she breaks AJ’s record.
We start with Brie Bella and Becky Lynch, probably the two most underrated Divas in this revolution. Lynch takes control for a hot second but Brie gets it right back and hits an awesome knee to Lynch’s face. Tamina tags in and hits a superkick to Brie as Tamina destroys Lynch with a vicious head butt.
Team B.A.D. takes turns tagging each other in and wearing Lynch down in the corner. A “We want Sasha!” chant breaks out and bae enters to a huge pop from the crowd.
Tamina takes Lynch outside and slams her into the ring before Charlotte nails her with a spear out of nowhere!
Sasha and Naomi hit the ring and somersault over the tope rope onto the Divas ringside!
Okay, so the Boss didn’t really land the cleanest move but she’s still great.
Nikki and Brie hit the ring and then decide to suicide dive all the Divas as well!
Now Paige is on the turnbuckle and she yells that this is her house before hitting a somersault onto all 8 other Divas ringside!
Tamina and Becky are back in the ring and Brie blind tags herself in before hitting Brie Mode and Tamina and Team B.A.D. been eliminated.
Nikki picks up Becy and hits a Rack Attack but Paige and Charlotte break up the pin as Paige tags in and starts wailing on Nikki. Before hitting a running knee that would make CM Punk proud in the corner.
Paige picks Nikki up and hits a fallaway slam but Nikki rolls out of the ring before Paige could do anymore damage. Paige goes for a baseball slide but Nikki blocks it and hits an Alabama slam on the outside! WOW!
Paige’s head hit the floor incredibly hard but she somehow beats the ten count. They keep replaying the move on the outside and there’s just no way Paige didn’t take some serious damage slamming her head like that. Ouch.
Brie now beating Paige down and the Bellas are doing their best to kill the Divas Revolution.
Brie starts delivering some kicks just like her husband as the crowd chants YES! to each one before tagging Alicia Fox in. Alicia goes for a pin but somehow Paige kicks out and they show the Alabama Slam again because the plan is to make somebody throw up.
Alicia drives her knee into Paige’s back but the Anti-Diva somehow fights out of it only to eat a dropkick from Alicia. Nikki tags in as “We Want Charlotte!” chants break out and gets another near-fall on Paige.
Fox tags back in and gets another near-fall and the Bellas are frustrated. She kicks Paige in the kidney and takes her time as trying to dissect her opponent. Paige finally fights back and nails Alicia with a vicious knee before finally tagging Charlotte in.
The Nature Girl starts chopping the hell out of Alicia before hitting a modified neckbreaker and spear! Charlotte locks in the Figure Eight but Nikki breaks it up so Paige spears her out of the ring. Fox goes off the ropes and both women hit a huge boot on their opponent!
Fox tags Brie and Charlotte tagsLynch and the only two Divas still standing start exchanging massive blows. Brie takes advantage and heads up top but Lynch dodges a dropkick before hitting a pump-handle slam for the 1-2-3!
I have to admit I’m surprised that Lynch got the pin, great job by WWE of letting her get some shine after Charlotte and Banks had dominated in recent weeks.
