Figured this would happen after ESPN decided not to fire but suspend Schilling for his offense of tweet comparing Muslims to Nazis. ESPN issued a press release about Schilling statements did not align with ESPN beliefs. However after 3 short weeks Schilling will return to ESPN for the MLB postseason broadcast.
ESPN had the opportunity to send a message that no offensive language will tolerated but instead Schilling got a slap on the wrist. I’m pretty sure Schilling will be right back making questionable comments. Especially considering that soon after the Muslim tweet, Schilling was found defending the Confederate Flag on Facebook.
Also worth noting that Schilling received the same suspension as Bill Simmons received for calling Roger Goodell a liar and challenging ESPN. Less time than Rob Parker received for his comments on Robert Griffin III.
Curt Schilling says he will be back on ESPN for postseason.
