Pierre-Paul suffered injuries to his right hand in a July 4 fireworks accident that required amputation of his index finger.
JPP took a team physical Monday and met with members of the organization — But the two sides parted Tuesday without the player signing his one-year, $14.8 million franchise tender.
The two sides will likely talk again once it’s clear that Pierre-Paul is ready to play.
