Kemba Walker Drops 52 In Double Overtime Win Over Jazz

Kemba Walker set a franchise record with 52 points as the Charlotte Hornets won in double overtime, defeating the Utah Jazz 124-119. The franchise record was 48 points and was set by Glenn Rice. Walker was 16- 34 from the field as he also shot 6-11 from three-point range.

He started the game well as he scored 18 points, while knocking down three 3’s in the first quarter. The Jazz made it a game as they took the lead late in the 4th quarter, as Trey Burke hit a three pointer with 13.1 seconds remaining to make it tied at 95 to force overtime.

The Jazz made another push in overtime as Ruby Gobert tied the game with a dunk with 7.4 seconds remaining in the first overtime. Walker who was also 14-15 from the free throw line, made late free throws down the stretch after Marvin Williams hit a three pointer for the Hornets to stay ahead in the second overtime. Gordon Hayward finished the game with 36 points as he tried to lead his team to victory in this double overtime loss.
