I asked LeBron did he feel some of his turnovers, weren’t really turnovers because he spoke previously about not getting the calls.
As you can see he was very clear in that he wasn’t being critical of the refs and wanted to keep his $25k.
Here is what LeBron and Coach Lue had to say about the refs.
Q. At least all Playoffs about how LeBron is officiated. He had a couple more tonight where he got to the rim and thought he got fouled. I guess without watching the film, what did you see there?
TYRONN LUE: He never gets calls. I mean, he attacks. He’s one of the most — outside of Russell Westbrook, he’s one of the guys that attacks the paint every single play. And he doesn’t get a fair whistle all the time because of his strength and because of his power and guys bounce off of him. But those are still fouls and we weren’t able to get them. But we’ve got to play through officiating.
Q. I think you had four free throws tonight the entire game. Just your thoughts on that and some of the calls tonight?
LeBRON JAMES: Well, it’s been like that all year for the most part. I’m not quite sure what I can do personally to get to the free-throw line, but I’ve got to continue to be aggressive for our team. I’m getting hit, but the refs are not seeing it that way, on my drives. But I’ve got to continue to be aggressive for our team. That’s who I am, that’s what opens up the floor for a lot of our shooters, and just worry about the results afterwards.
You know, it’s tough playing 46 minutes and only going to the line four times, as much as I attack the rim. So it’s just a tough situation for our team.
So, while neither directly criticized the refs, the message was pretty clear, they both feel they aren’t getting the calls they should.
What do you think?
