Vlade Divac on Cousins Being “Most Dominant Player” In The World

When your star center and franchise player is frustrated with another summer of clueless personnel moves — you better have an outstanding plan hatched and ready to distract him in the media.

Team USA’s talented roster is giving DeMarcus Cousins a taste of winning, and what a successful team building experiment looks like.

Boogie has been giving out work during the Team USA tune-ups, and Kings general manager Vlade Divac has taken notice.

The often ridiculed newcomer to running a front office was courtside for USA Basketball’s 107-57 route over China at Oracle Arena — calling it a “no-brainer” that Cousins is the best big man on the planet.

“He’s the most dominant player in the whole world,” Divac told James Ham of CSN Bay Area on Tuesday night. “And being from Serbia, I have to root for Serbia, but I feel bad for them. He’s going to kill them.”

It’s been a long Olympic journey for Boogie — who’s averaging 15.7 points, 11 boards, 1.3 assists while shooting 80% from the field.

Cousins will likely experience more winning in his first Olympics — than he has his entire NBA career — seeing as he’s never won more than 33 games in a season.
