There’s no one more critical of the San Antonio Spurs than head coach Gregg Popovich. The Spurs barely beat the Mavs last night and in the post game conference, Pop sounded off.
The Spurs are currently at 11-3 and third in the Western Conference. If you’re team is currently battling to be at .500, this record to you looks terrific. However, if you’re Gregg Popovich, you know your team can do better instead of barely getting a win against the Mavericks.
The final score of last’s night game 96-91 but Pop was not at all happy with their performance.
“It was a pathetic performance on the part of the Spurs. I thought we showed a lack of humility and lack of respect for the opponent. A very pathetic performance in both execution and in grunt, in fiber, in desire. It was an awful performance. And they (Mavs) deserved to win the basketbal game. I forgot to say that.”
The Spurs face the Hornets on Wednesday November 23.
