Never a dull moment surrounding the Knicks.
Knicks Owner James Dolan issued Charles Oakley a face-to-face apology. Not sure the sincerity of Dolan when it took the NBA Commissioner and Michael Jordan to step in. Nonetheless, Oakley accepted but said it would take some time before he appeared at The Garden. According to Frank Isola, Oakley will be in the building to watch the Knicks take on the Cavaliers………In Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena.
Charles Oakley confirmed he plans to attend the Knicks-Cavs game in Cleveland on Thursday. It is unclear if Oakley is going as a guest of his friend LeBron James, who has publicly supported Oakley after Oakley was forcibly removed from Madison Square Garden two weeks ago.
In a text message to the Daily News, Oakley would only say that he will be inside Quicken Loans Arena for the game.
Both LeBron James and Oakley not only are good friends, but James also has been a boisterous member of Team #FreeOakley.
It has not been confirmed Oakley is a guest of LeBron but heres’s what we know. Oakley was in the Cavaliers locker room after Cleveland knocked off Golden State in last years NBA Finals. LeBron is not a fan of the Knicks organization ranging from Phil Jackson’s “Posse” comments to their treatment of his friend Carmelo Anthony. It is not a stretch to think LeBron could take a tweak at the Knicks by inviting Oakley to tonight’s match-up. My money is on Oakley being alongside Mav Carter tonight by the Cavs bench.
