Police placed a Virginia man in custody for stealing an unlocked car. The best part? He wore a ‘Trust Me’ T-shirt while doing it.
New York Daily News reports that Wilmer Garcia and Orlen Nunez were stopped by police after stealing an unlocked car left unlocked and warming up at 6:30 a.m. The owner reported the car missing immediately and cops were able to locate the culprits quickly.
While conducting a search of the car, officers discovered a number of forged checked.
Garcia, who was wearing the green “Trust Me” shirt, is charged with auto theft and two counts of forgery. Nunez is only charged with auto theft.
