The political issues in this country starting all the way at the top are issues that have the greatest effect on minorities.

See, it is ok to talk about political issues when they are all warm and fuzzy. It is easy to talk about things we all agree on, but it is the tough issues that you expect media members not matter if they are sports reporters or not to have the ability to speak on, but ESPN doesn’t want to get their hands dirty.

This comment was from Undefeated editor-in-chief Kevin Merida, which is disheartening considering the Undefeated is a site that is supposed to be about black culture which a lot of times intersects with politics.
You don’t need to be an expert to talk about racism, but here is where we are.
I understand ESPN is so big they want to be Switzerland, but don’t do things to try to bring in the black audience, use the black culture to ride the wave when if you don’t truly care about what is happening with black people in the world.
