The good news is his ACL is in tact; the bad news is a meniscus tear can take weeks and in a lot of cases months to heal, which means he will probably at minimum miss the rest of the regular season.
The T-Wolves are currently sitting 4th in the Western Conference, but the 9th place team is only a game out in the loss column, and 5-8th are even in the loss column, so their position is tenuous at best.
Jimmy Butler is expected to undergo surgery in coming days and could return within 4-to-6 weeks, league sources tell Yahoo. Final timetable will be set after procedure.
