Many people usually take their free time from their current job to look for better opportunities and some may even use their current employer’s time to do so, during their down time at work.
In this case, Ja’Naea Modest went to a Champaign County, Illinois creative industry job fair while on lunch break from her current job. According to the Daily Mail,
Footage captured Friday at a creative industry job fair in Champaign County shows 33-year-old Ja’Naea Modest sitting at her laptop computer and submitting resumes.
She even sat down for a new interview with WCIA 3 News – the same news station that secretly recorded her at the job fair.
‘I went to a job fair and I was not aware that I was being recorded until later on in the evening,’ Modest told the station.
As a result of this, she was reportedly approached by her best friend’s father who mentioned to her that there was nice footage of her attending the job fair on the local news network. It was then that she realized that her current employer may discover that she is looking for a new job.
Modest, did take the whole incident in stride and mentions,
‘I was like, “oh, man, now my job’s gonna know that I’m looking for another job,”‘
‘There’s no denying it,’ she laughed
She was also interviewed again by the local station WCIA 3 News and is currently employed as a driver and DJ, and also has experience working with kids.
We’ll see if her recent social media exposure will help her land a new gig. Flip the page and skip to the 2:18 minute mark for video of WCIA 3 News reporting on Modest’s job fair appearance.
