11. Cincinnati Bengals- LB Devin Bush, Michigan
The Bengals are in a peculiar spot here with a new regime in place. New head coach Zac Taylor could look to draft a QB here, but opts to draft the rangy LB from Michigan. Devin Bush has a work ethic like no other and is built to be successful early and for a long time in the NFL.
12. Green Bay Packers- TE TJ Hockenson, Iowa
New head coach Matt LaFleur loves to include 2 TE sets in his offense (trust me, I know). Hockenson fits the mold of a TE who can both block and pass well in your normal 2 TE sets and will be a consistent new weapon to QB Aaron Rodgers
13. Miami Dolphins- QB Kyler Murray, Oklahoma
The Dolphins are in need of a face at QB after shipping Ryan Tannehill to Tennessee. Drafting Kyler Murray is the first step in reviving a franchise that’s been stuck in mediocrity for a while. Plus, he doesn’t even have to start right away due to the signing of Ryan Fitzpatrick.
14. Atlanta Falcons- EDGE Montez Sweat, Mississippi State
The Falcons defense was hit HARD by the injury bug last season and was a large part of why the Falcons disappointed in 2018. The defense is back and healthy, but still have a need on the edge. They select Montez Sweat here and pair him with Vic Beasley, allowing Dan Quinn to have more versatility on the defensive line.
15. Washington Redskins- WR DK Metcalf
With all reasonable QB options gone, the Redskins turn to a combine monster at 15. DK Metcalf could be taken as high as Buffalo in my opinion, but he slides to 15 and gives Washington a speed threat on the outside.
16. Carolina Panthers- EDGE Clelin Ferell
The Panthers turn to another edge guy, this time out of Clemson in Clelin Ferrell. He’ll provide some rush off the edge and will be a great add to the Panthers defense.
17. New York Giants (via Browns)- OL Cody Ford, Oklahoma
The Giants already selected their QB, so they look to the offensive line next. Ford slides in at either tackle spot and will provide protection for Manning and eventually Haskins for the long haul.
18. Minnesota Vikings- OL Garrett Bradbury, North Carolina State
The Vikings need offensive line help and have needed help there for a while. But it’s been neglected by bad signings and not paying nearly enough attention to it. They can’t keep letting Kirk Cousins get hit after every drop back for forever. So take Bradbury here who can play guard and center, adding some much needed offensive line versatility.
19. Tennessee Titans- DL Ed Oliver, Houston
The Titans can go a couple routes here. Draft an offensive lineman to replace Josh Kline or select a WR to line up opposite Corey Davis and watch Marcus rip it. They do neither and select Ed Oliver out of Houston. Oliver is a curious prospect seemingly because of how high he can go and how far he can drop. Either way, the Titans would be getting one of the best defensive players in this draft. Slide him alongside Jurrell Casey and you have an athletic interior defensive line combo that will cause havoc. Maybe put him at 3-4 OLB and watch him dominate. This also could have some similarities of a Derwin James situation.
20. Pittsburgh Steelers- CB Greedy Williams, LSU
The Steelers need secondary help like a burger needs a beef patty. They take arguably the best corner in the draft in Greedy Williams, and continue to build their defense back to a respectable level.
21. Seattle Seahawks- DL Jeffery Simmons, Mississippi State
Adding a player like Simmons to the Seahawks would go a long way towards heling the rebuild of their pass rush. Right now, the only respectable threat is Frank Clark and his contract situation isn’t looking the best. Seahawks grab Simmons here and he sets up the Seahawks with stability in the middle of the defensive line.
22. Baltimore Ravens- WR Hakeem Butler, Iowa State
The Ravens need weapons on the outside, especially after the release of Michael Crabtree. This offense is still a run first offense, so maybe a Josh Jacobs can make some sense. The Ravens however opt to take Butler, who can slide right in and high point footballs for franchise QB Lamar Jackson.
