On August 9, Rick Ross released his 10th studio album “Port of Miami 2,” which is the sequel to his 2006 debut album as well. One of the highly anticipated songs was “Maybach Music VI” which was supposed to have Lil Wayne and Pusha T on it. The final record ended up having Wayne and John Legend.
Ross spoke on Hot 97 and said that he didn’t feel the song brought Pusha and Wayne together. This comes a year after Wayne and Drake were beefing. Drake is on Wayne’s Young Money label so the rift was definitely there for this collaboration. Pusha called into Joe Budden’s podcast today though to address the situation.
Pusha’s verse is still floating around the Internet and many feel that it was fire. As far as it being left off of Port Of Miami 2, he just said that it’s part of the game. It sounds like there’s no animosity at all and he agreed with what Ross said last week about the situation. Flip the page to hear Pusha discuss the Maybach Music VI verse on Budden’s podcast.
