Patriots Safety Patrick Chung has officially entered a not guilty plea and waived his court appearance in New Hampshire for cocaine possession charges according to ESPN.
As we reported before, Chung was indicted by a grand jury on August 8th for the charges. Back in June, authorities in Meredith, New Hampshire were called to the Pro-bowlers home for a service call; While at the home, authorities obtained significant evidence which led to them charging Patrick with cocaine possession.
Chung is now scheduled for a November 8th court appearance for the felony charges. The signifigance of his next date is the Patriots are on a bye week on November 8th. Patrick will be allowed to play, until the legal proceedings are settled, or unless the NFL suspends him for substance abuse; in return would turn into a long NFLPA vs NFL fight.
