A lawsuit was filed Tuesday in a civil court in California from the girlfriend and mother of his child, Raiders tackle Trent Brown for allegedly Domestic Violence. Some of the accusations consist of slapping the plaintiff across the face, strangling, choking, and leaving her mouth bloody and bruises.
The plaintiff, Diorra Marzetta-Sanders also claims on multiple occasions, Trent has threatened her stating,
“I’ll shoot yo ass in the f*cking head”
This threat was reportedly due to her telling Trent she would leave him with her son.
The lawsuit that was filed, also states earlier this year in March, Trent grabbed her face and covered her mouth while choking her out, unable to breathe. In April, it allegedly states Trent grabbed her against her will and threw her in a room, slapped her and punched her in the ribs. In June of this year she alleges that in Hawaii on vacation her slapped her in the face prompting the police to be called and a police report being filed with no arrest being made.
The NFL is indeed looking into these allegations. They will investigate these claims and there is a good chance while the legal proceeding play out Trent Brown could possibly be placed on the commissioners exempt list, or be disciplined by the league.
Trent Brown Earlier this year signed a 4 year $66 million contract with the Oakland Raiders.
If these allegations are indeed true and support Marzetta-Sanders claims, you can fully expect Brown to be disciplined severely from the league.
What is interesting here is that the baby mother filed charges through a civil court and not criminally. This sometimes indicates the plaintiff is seeking monetary funds.
After speaking with Carole Albright about these type of cases she did indicate the civil suit could still carry the actions of a 50-b (restraining order) being filed against Trent, but the ramifications could vary from state to state. Furthermore, she also states that just because the Plaintiff Diora Marzetta-Sanders didn’t publicly state that the criminal suit was filed doesn’t rule out her filing it privately.
