Back in 2018, UFC 229 in Las Vegas was epic as Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Conor McGregor by submission in a flat out dominant performance. Controversy headlined that fight though as Khabib and Conor’s team got into it with each other following the fight. Paul Pierce was also in attendance but got into some craziness as well as he got into it with a female security supervisor after she gave him some problems when he was trying to get to his seat.
One security guard, Christopher Mostello, stepped in before things got crazy. That’s when Pierce accused Mostello of being racist and giving him a hard time as well when Pierce was trying to get to his seat. Pierce ended up getting sued for defamation, according to TMZ Sports.
In the lawsuit, Mostello claimed that after the altercation with Pierce, he’s been harassed many times since then. Pierce was forced by a judge to respond to the lawsuit or get hit with a default judgement. Pierce never had a response so now, the judge is making him pay up $100,000 to Mostello.
Pierce definitely made this harder than it needed to be. Flip the page for video of the incident.
