July 24 was supposed to feature Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 at T-Mobile Arena in Vegas, but that ended up being postponed to possibly sometime in October. This was due to Fury testing positive for COVID. Now, Wilder’s fiancee, Telli Swift, doesn’t believe that this was the case with Fury at all.
Swift told TMZ Sports that she feels Fury is just trying to avoid fighting Wilder, even though Fury dominated Wilder in February 2020. She added that there is plenty of days until the fight for Fury to still take on the fight, but decided to have it postponed.
“You’ve trained so hard, blood, sweat, and tears and then for someone to have COVID and Deontay’s fight with torn biceps, broken fingers, burns on his arms, and he still fought,” Swift says.
“So, I just feel like with COVID and you have sixteen days until the fight, he should still be able to fight and make it happen.”
Swift labeled this situation as Fury “buying time” and Wilder only wants Fury. She even says that Wilder constantly thinks about fighting Fury.
